Well I totally redone stacking think I found the cause a rogue sub ,I will Dropbox the fit file later once I fire the laptop up , final result to me seems better than previous , not sure if I overstretched data on manual stretch after wiping ,when would you know you've overstretched or is there something too look for?

I have bad news I'm afraid - the data is still stretched and color balanced/channel aligned

Using your CR2 frame, this is what your data should roughly look like when it is unstretched, and not color balanced;

Your stack should look very similar, though DSS may insist on color balancing regardless of you telling it not to (this is not the end of the world though).

As for colors, your processing in this thread of by Pally86 was spot on - they're indeed the colors you'd be looking for.

Just from your single uncalibrated CR2 frame, you can produce this;

Now imagine, what your stack should be capable of... If you can beat DSS into submission, you're in good shape!

Ivo or anyone in DSS in raw settings there is a matrix setting and you pick your camera model to set matrix should i set this as i do, set on rebel as i have canon 1000D,maybe i should leave unchecked .

Can anyone share their settings in DSS especially raw/fits and stacking rerun still doesnt look right too me somethings a miss im using a canon 1000D and DSS 3.3.4

Thanks to joseph yates on the yahoo forum ,problem solved may need tweaking the problem was saving to fits, settings were embedded, changed to not embedd problem sorted ivo, i hope if theres any tips that could still be done comments welcome .And thanks again ivo i have to say Startools is becoming easier to use, compared to photoshop, i wouldn't be able to achieve this finish personally.
