Post by alacant »

Hi everyone
With the eye-candy gas and dust season almost upon us once more, I thought I'd have a fling at yet more galaxies in praise of ST's oh so fine SVDecon module. Pre-processed in Siril, the rest, ST 1.9.565 under Ubuntu.
Thanks for looking and clear skies.
Steve

That is very nice!

Which scope did you use. Can you share some specs and data about the picture taken?

Hi Steve,

very well done :bow-yellow: Stars look great, overall processed with decent style. And do I see the stellar stream of the Hamburger Galaxy? I guess the image contains quite some integration time. And that the full res version looks pretty impressive.

May I ask what your settings for color/saturation were? Did you use scientific color constancy or artistic?

Regards
Stefan

Hi everyone and thanks so much for the replies.

It's a cheepo gso203 with a veTEC camera ~7h @ hcg100: Siril 1.3a. Colour is artistic with reduced saturation. HTH

Have to say that Ivo's svdecon leaves the ai rubbish with a lot of catching up to do:)

Cheers and clear skies,
Steve
