Very nice. Those stars are perfectly round.

Some great detail in that. Love your choice of color rendition too - muted, but well balanced. Not unlike a super human (immune to dynamic range issues) would likely perceive them close up.
Nice!

I sometimes struggle to get a color balance I like, I tweek it a lot. Also, usually I process the image on my work desktop computer. Then when I view it on my laptop, it looks different. This is especially true of the background. In this image, I used the life module just a bit, and on the desktop, it just looked like it affected the background just a tad and I really liked the effect. Then when viewed on my laptop, the effect looked much stronger and I was not as satisfied. Viewing on a laptop seems to be much more affected by the viewing angle of the screen. Of course, this is not the fault of StarTools, which is AWESOME!!! :character-beavisbutthead:

I've struggled with color on this object too. Initially, I went with more of a muted and less blue image more like your image:

Then, cranked up the blue as I saw other images of M106 that were quite blue. I'm thinking the original may be best and that this one is way too blue.

Nice job at capturing the faint outer areas of M106-I missed most of that area. Maybe I'll add some long exposure subs to try to bring it out.

Hi Lex
you did a good job with your image. I like the first version best, but both are good. I use a AP reducer on my Meade 12. Judging by your field of view, I'm guessing you are not using a reducer on your C11, unless you cropped a bit, or your camera makes the difference. Either way, thats a nice image.
