NGC281 with AltAz mount 3h57min

Good day,
This is the result of the last 3 days of the testing of my AltAz imagining setup.
Meade LS6" with 0.63x FR EOS1100D ISO400

Those where stacked in DSS + Flat, dark and bias

34 light frames x 240sec
5 light frames x 500sec
3 light frames x 600sec
1 light frames x 900sec

Imaged with APT Solved and centered with AT guided PHD2 Deroteted with Pyxis LE, post-processed in StarTools.

I think that I will have to mod EOS next, the results could be much better.....

Hi Marco - I'm not sure why you are taking multiple exposure lengths on this object - or indeed why you'd ever want to take more than 2 different exposure lengths? (can be useful for high HDR objects)

You are still also showing a lot of field rotation, unfortunately.

The reason of the multiple exposures is actually simple....

As I said, this image is the result of a series of "exposure length tests" that I took with my Meade LS6" (this is an AltAz mount) derotating the star field with a Pyxis LE rotator.
The scope of the test was to find out how long of an exposure I could take with this AltAz setup before star trails should become a problem.
Most of the star trails were generated in the 900-sec exposure, not so bad if you take into consideration that those images are taken in AltAz

Up to 500 sec the trails were barely noticeable....

At the end of the tests I just stacked all the frames to see the results.

that is the reason of the multiple exposures.....
