Hi all,

I just wanted to give you a sneak peek of the grand finale of the 1.4.x development branch before going Release Candidate soon.

It's a 400% enlarged crop of a Jim Misti M8 Hydrogen-alpha dataset that is has been intentionally "mangled" to put Tracking through its paces.
Specifically, it has been stretched, Contrast enhanced, then deconvolved (using Tracking), then noise reduced (also using Tracking).
All parameters and settings are kept the same between 1.3.5 and 1.4. The only difference is the algorithms in Decon and Denoise making increasingly more sophisticated use of the Tracking data/time travel over the years (with one unreleased bump applied here that hasn't been released yet).

As 1.4.x nears completion, sometimes I feel silly for having spent multiple years developing, for what amounts to be, a small bump in signal fidelity. :P But in AP, it all counts, especially when there doesn't seem to be much signal processing engine innovation from other developers. :confusion-shrug:
