WEIRD ARTIFACT

Post by NGC664 »

This artifact to the right of the Orion Nebula showed up at my first autodev but disappears during the processing. I am not sure what caused it and was wondering if others have had this.

From the orientation of your image, it may be a reflection off something in the imaging train of the bright star Rigel.

Not sure what can be done about it though, apart from fixing it in post processing, a longer dew shield perhaps?
