Lextreme question again

Post by Burly »

Sorry if this is in any others threads , so I have 6 hrs on the cocoon nebula which is mainly a Ha heavy target, now loading in compose is it best to use both channels for luminance and save and which option is best to use ? then load Ha as red and the combined Ha and 0111 lum file as luminance using which option ? Camera is a zwo533mc.

Just load the entire dataset as R, G and B. Then set "Luminance, Color" to "L + Synthetic L from R(2xG)B, R(GB)(GB) (Bi-Color from OSC/DSLR).

This should make the most of your signal for the purpose of luminance (using all signal you have captured), and will allow you to create a bi-color..
