Log File Gibberish

Hi Ivo and Support Team,

I looked to see if this question has been posed before (I am sure it has), but had no luck finding anything.

I like to keep copies of the Startools log for image processes that turn out well, or for some that don't quite get to where I want to go and use the log as a reference point when reprocessing.

In all the versions of ST that I have had in the past including this one (1.7.412) I have to do quite a bit of "cleaning up" of the log file before I can save it. I have huge blocks of gibberish characters that I have to delete. much more gibberish than readable entries.

I realize that the gibberish characters might be needed to application support troubleshooting, but if there might be a way for me to not have to deal with it, that would be great.

Is there a way around all of the gibberish?

Thanks a bunch!

Thanks Ivo.

So the "gibberish is coded mask data? I had no success with the decoder. Operator eror!

No problem, I will continue to delete.

Thanks!

Hmmm... it should work, but let me know if it doesn't!

I have to report the same problem, I used the motobit page to convert to a png file (which opens correctly in other software) but when used with the Mask >Open function ST reports 'Failed. Could not read file....'

Is there more than one flavour of png, I wonder?

I've attached the troublesome .png file

Thank you. I confirmed a bug in the 1-bit PNG handler. Will be fixed in the next release!
