I seem to be making progress, seems my flats weren’t quite right that seems to be resolved , as my camera is still attached to scope and imaging train hasn’t altered I will redo m31 as I now have another 2 hrs of data so approx 8hrs
I had a quick process of the last sessions data but seem to my eyes to have a lot of aqua coloured stars , I will have a ply and post result and log and see if ivo can shed some light to where I’m going wrong .

M31 8.5 hrs now I know the star colours are wrong looking like too many aqua coloured stars but what is the likely cause of this poor flats , DSS stacking , someone on sgl said I may be clipping the black what ever that means ? I will post the fits file and log this evening other than that I’m quite pleased and seem to be heading in the right direction just seems to be colour I struggle with , used colour module so mask auto -stars do -sample - mask clear invert .

Ha! I just commented on SGL before I saw this. :D
I actually think you've done a pretty good job on this (and I give reasons why in the SGL post).
For 8.5h I would've liked to see a bit better signal, but then again, you are starting to show even the purplish HII areas with - what I think - is a visual spectrum setup. What instrument are you using for acquisition?
The star temperatures actually look good to me, which is pretty much a given as you've color balanced out the image using the foreground stars; their average must be white.
