ST latest (1.6.389beta) just crashed on me after spending a long time spinning on CPU in the life module. Has happened a couple of times now in the same module, so I figured I'd post the details here in case there's anything obvious.

(Nothing special about the file - just the first clear night that I've had free to set up my gear after a complete overhaul and service of my HEQ5 around Christmas time, captured a few minutes of data and was playing with it).

Many thanks for reporting this, as well as uploading all the data and logs! It's very helpful. :bow-yellow:
By "long time spinning on CPU", do you mean it crashed while the progress dialog (as a result of clicking 'Do') was not visible, e.g. was only the spinner in the lower right corner visible?
I just completed a lengthy valgrind session replicating your log with no obvious results/issue. However, the crash bears all the hallmarks of dereferencing a NULL pointer somewhere.
If you are able to replicate this issue fairly reliably on your machine, I could send you a version with debug symbols, which will help pin-point the code where the application is failing in the report.
